Simone Arianne Biles, /sI'moUn/baI@lzwas born on 14 March, 1997. Biles is tied with Shannon Miller for the number of Olympic medals won in American gymnastics, and is currently the ninth highest. With 25 World Championship medals won, she is the highest-ranked gymnast from the history of the Gymnastics World Championships. Many believe that she may be the most successful gymnast of all-time. Joe Biden awarded Biles the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2022.
